About Us
The Lane Cove Mens Shed is a not for profit charity organisation with a fully equipped workshop where skilled and unskilled men can share time with each other, swap yarns and work together on community projects. Members make and repair furniture, toys, craft items or work on their own personal projects. Many items are donated to community groups whilst some are sold to buy materials and new tools for the Shed.
After 25 years in our present location, the Shed will be moving in 2024 to a larger site, still in Lane Cove. This move will enable us to safely increase the number of members, increase the range of activities and offer more flexible opening times. We are, therefore, looking to recruit new members. You don’t have to be a skilled craftsman to join. If you don’t have a personal project, there are plenty of useful things to do, with training provided as and if required.
There is always an open invitation to all men, young and old, to drop in, see what goes on, meet the other men, have a chat and enjoy the friendship the Shed offers.
Our Logo

An early member made this sketch and as it captured the comfortable, slightly untidy layout and the casual, friendly atmosphere in the Shed, we adopted it as our logo.
